Our lives are becoming increasingly hectic and out of control, being pushed and pulled in every direction. Some of us want to have more control over ourselves and our surroundings.

Weihai Lishi Quanfa is an ancient Chinese system for health which continues the ancient Chinese system of philosophy and exercise, developed 1000s of years ago - an alternative way to feel energised, find inner peace and learn an ancient philosophy for life that works.

Through a series of ancient exercises that have stood the test of time, you will work on your breathing, mobility, suppleness, strength and balance in a fun class environment, leaving you feeling relaxed, yet invigorated. Men and women of all ages have enjoyed the many benefits to health and well-being that Lishi exercising has given them.

Beginners and experienced practitioners work together for the benefit of all. In a friendly atmosphere, you will explore different areas of health and well-being, find challenges that will benefit your life, and help you develop to your true potential.

Lishi involves a fluid way of moving:
• Tai Chi forms including the Square Yard form and Flying Hands form
• Kai Men - a system of Chinese Yoga to open up your energy channels - great for increasing suppleness and flexibility
• Dao Yin breathing exercises for good health and detoxing
• Qigong - learn how to use and direct your intrinsic energy
• Chang Ming -Ancient Long Life Dietary Therapy


--Self-defence classes - Feng Shou "Hand of the Wind" - great for toning and increasing stamina--

Feng Shou is the more dynamic component of the Lishi training system. It is used for training coordination, cardio-vascular stamina, presence of mind, precise smooth motion and self-defence.

In addition to various forms with and without weapons, we work with partners to help improve our understanding of the human body and the flow of energy. We learn to practise through cooperation and not competition. The class can be adapted for all fitness levels, but it is possible to build to fast flowing motions, similar in look to other martial arts.

We typically think of Self-Defence on a physical level, but emotionally and mentally, we are attacked every day, frequently by ourselves! Feng Shou, as with the other Lishi Arts, are based on Daoist principles, so counter intuitively for a martial arts class, we do not fight, we do not compete, we do not get injured.

Lishi classes are all about your own personal development. In a friendly atmosphere, you will explore different areas of health and well-being, find challenges that will benefit your life, and help you develop to your true potential. You will surprise yourself!
